World Leading Energy Company has an exciting opportunity for a Operations Support and Sustainability Implementer, reporting to the UK Operations Manager. The Operations Support and Sustainability Implementer has two main aspects to their role. The first part of the role is to ensure maximum value is derived from existing utilities contracts. The second part of the role is to work closely with the CI and Sustainability Advisor to ensure successful implementation of sustainability initiatives.
The Retail business encompasses circa 44,000 sites in more than 60+ countries serving 15 million customers a day. The delivery of this ambitious aspiration will require them to grow their Network in future heartlands such as China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, Russia, Poland and also maximize the existing value of the businesses in core markets such as Germany, Malaysia, Netherlands, UK, US, Canada.
*Extract maximum value from existing relationships with utilities suppliers. With a particular focus in the following areas but not limited to: Water, Telecoms, Waste Management, Vapour Recovery, Uniforms
*In particular in this area, the aim is to build strong relationships but also bring a strong analytical lens to understand how to create additional efficiencies and value.
*Work closely with the CI and Sustainability Advisor in order to ensure successful implementation of sustainability initiatives which they are looking to implement which is focused in particular over the following areas: Food Waste, Plastics and Packaging, and Waste Management.
*Support the business planning team with workload peaks in particular as such as during annual business planning period.
*Support on general postal duties for Operations and general mail sent to UK Retail.
*Perform role of IM/Sharepoint focal point for Operations team.
*The combined OPEX budget of Water, Telecoms, Waste alone is almost $5mln. In this time of OPEX discipline, it is more important than over to ensure maximum value is being delivered for any OPEX spent.
*Sustainability is becoming an ever more important area of focus for customers and being able to speak to the customers directly in terms of the sustainability initiatives which they are undertaking is very important.
*The role will have a front-facing customer angle to ensure that the initiatives which are implemented are being received in the way that it was intended.
*Degree or equivalent business experience required.
*Experience of successfully implementing sustainability initiatives.
*Self-motivation, relentless attention to detail, analysis , evaluative skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
*The role also requires ability to multi-task and switch between activities whilst ensuring successful completion of key priorities.
*The successful candidate will need to manage a wide and diverse set of interdependent activities and key stakeholders including various suppliers, vendors, partners, internal influencers and key stakeholders.
*Ability to make decisions and recommendations based upon a range of sometimes ambiguous data and to back up with appropriate rationale.
*Ability to think strategically and implement tools & procedures to enable field execution of initiatives.
