Last year kept Eaglecliff extremely busy.
From industry conferences at home and abroad, long-awaited introductions and reunions with Contractors, to celebrations with the people that make our work worthwhile, we were privileged to have had the busy schedule necessary to make our business thrive in 2025.
Here are the highlights.
E-World Conference
In February, we attended our first ever E-World in Essen, Germany, with this continental trip proving formative for a number of reasons.

Firstly, we were able to gain key first-hand insights into the European Energy Markets from its experts. From the expansion of LNG as both a viable and cleaner alternative to oil, to growth in the battery storage industry.
It was encouraging to see Europe embracing the energy transition. For given the volatility stemming from the Russia-Ukraine War, it was made clear to us that growing the rate of this transition may yet prove the most steadfast way of guaranteeing future European security – both in terms of energy and geopolitically.
Significant too were the networks and relationships we were able to foster. Meeting and exchanging ties with key contacts across the European Market was not only deeply interesting, but also showed tremendous promise as we look to expand the range of services we provide to clients.
Commodity Trading Week Conference
In May, we had the honour of once again manning our own Exhibition Stand at the Commodity Trading Week Conference, held in London.
The event took place in the wake of Trump’s tariffs, with many talks dedicated to the fallout and how the Commodities Industry is adapting to the new instability.

One particular talk on the Metals & Mining Industry proved particularly illuminating, discussing Chinese dominance of the trade as a key area of tension for inciting the tariffs as well as the role Greenland may yet play in the industry following the US President’s threats to invade the Danish territory.

We were extremely pleased to attend what is a premier event for the Commodities industry; and even more pleased to meet more new faces as we seek to grow our presence within the Commodities landscape.
Energy Trading Week Europe Conference
We were also extremely proud to once again man an Exhibition Stand at the Energy Trading Week Europe Conference held at the London Business Design Centre in September 2025.

The conference featured discussions on key trends in Operations, Technology and Regulations – with a focus on the LNG and Gas & Power markets.
Unsurprisingly, AI was one of the big talking points. For there is no doubt: it is going to change our Industry. The question on everyone’s lips was just how much – and in what way.
This led to some truly profound conversations with some of the Industry’s leading lights.
All in all, the these conferences were great successes. Not only did we learn more about the incoming changes facing our sector, but it was a privilege meeting faces old and new – developing some promising relationships for years to come.
Contractor Meet-Ups
As is tradition, we hosted both a Summer Event and a Winter Event for our Contractors, welcoming all those that are currently working with Eaglecliff and those that might have moved on but who wish to continue the relationship!
We welcome everyone and always have a wonderful evening catching up over a few alcoholic – and non-alcoholic – beverages as well.

Our Summer Event was hosted at Circe’s Rooftop Bar in Waterloo, so the perfect venue for many Contractors working nearby.
This turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees. Consequently, it can be argued that a roof top in Central London might not have been quite the best place to be at 5:30PM in the afternoon.
Luckily though, some slush puppy type drinks managed to keep the heat off and many were still with us until nearly midnight!
Our Winter Event was hosted at the old Waterloo Fire Station again as we enjoyed this Venue so much last year.

The event took place at the end of November, which was thankfully deemed not too early to commence the festive celebrations.
We are pleased to say that in both hot and cold scenarios, our Contractors came and chatted with us; both Events were well-attended with many new Contractors now becoming familiar faces and household names within our company.
It’s such a great way of really getting to know what’s going on, what challenges we are all facing, and what’s just around the corner. You just can’t get to know all of that on a Teams catch-up call.
We look forward to seeing them all again soon!
