This keeps me very busy in this ever-growing sector.
I believe my communication and organisation skills are my major strengths in this role as well as my ability to deal with intense pressure and adapt to business needs.

After graduating from Kent University with a 2:1 BA (Hons), I started my career in recruitment working within a specialist consultancy. I have over 8 years’ experience within professional services recruitment, for both permanent and contract professionals. I assisted with the establishment of a niche division specialising in Accountancy & Finance recruitment for Top100 Firms and Industry & Commerce clients, this covered roles from Accounting Trainees up to Partner level. My portfolio included 400 clients across the Southern Home Counties. I am heavily involved in full 360 recruitment, as well as business development, fee negotiation, marketing and networking with the extensive use of LinkedIn.

My approach is very professional and a value added benefit. I attribute my success to my willingness to grow with the market and to adapt to changing circumstances. As Co Founder and Operations Director at Eaglecliff, I have extensive experience working with global companies throughout every stage of the Recruitment Life Cycle. I hope to always lead by example and in a hands-on capacity as an Account Manager for a leading Oil and Gas company and as a Mentor and Trainer for new members of the company.
An important aspect of my role is focusing on the unique weekly tracking mechanisms that we have designed and implemented. We rely heavily on these to ensure we are able to maintain the Service Levels that we are so proud of. Although Resourcing is no longer strictly within my remit, it is still an aspect of Recruitment that I enjoy. I work closely with the Resourcing team and I am always keen to help maintain their performance levels.
As everything that we do as a company focuses heavily on ISO, it is also important that I help with regular Audits around the processes that we follow and the training for our own Staff that ensures full compliance with ISO on an on-going basis. Our success depends entirely on the Service Levels that we provide and experience has proved that if we follow our own carefully developed processes and procedures and if we develop these on a continual basis, we will continue to be successful together as a team and as a company.
When I am not working I like to spend time with my family and with our three dogs and to enjoy the beautiful Kent countryside where we live. This includes some amazing Kent public houses that offer excellent hospitality, although this is usually only after a long dog walk or a long bike ride first. Keeping fit is really important and I try to swim and to play badminton at least once a week.
In today’s global economy, international borders have become far more transparent, with the result that demand for a flexible workforce has never been greater. This has opened up an array of opportunities for both employers and individual workers in terms of mobility. Whilst the ease with which workers and workforces can transcend boundaries has resulted in efficiency, cost savings and global growth for companies, the burden of country-specific legislation in respect of employment law, immigration and taxation still needs to be considered. This has implications for all parties in the recruitment process.
The services of an expert who understands best practices in engaging global contingent workforces can alleviate the risks involved, by ensuring that compliance with local tax and employment regulations is followed. This will not only ensure that procedures are correctly followed but will also lessen risks and potentially significant consequences and costs for all those in the chain.
As an Associate, John Le Maire works closely with Eaglecliff Recruitment to ensure that we always first of all take the correct legal advice when working in a global market.
This ensures that we do not operate a contingent workforce without seeking expert advice to ensure that we get it right the first time. This will avoid the pitfalls that can result in damaging situations with associated costs and penalties as well as commercial consequences that will impact on the business of the companies and clients that we work with.
There are many rules and regulations to be aware of but if they are followed correctly from the outset, the placement of contractors internationally should be relatively straightforward.
Initially working as the Accounts Manager has brought me into direct contact with the numerous Contractors that we work with and this is an aspect of my job that I really enjoy. This is one reason why I have been working with the company for so long.
Through the years this role has developed into being the Operations Manager, which continues to head up the Accounts function but now also incorporates Office Management, Procurement, Health and Safety and Human Resources, as well as ensuring that we continue to pay our Contractors on time and accurately.
As part of this priority, I have been instrumental in developing streamlined and accurate processes that ensure that we meet our company targets around the Invoicing and Payment procedures that are critical to the success of Eaglecliff as a whole. Cash Flow and Financial Stability are critical and we spend a great deal of time with these aspects.
I am extremely proud of the high scores that our Accounts team achieves within Contractor Service Evaluations and of the number of positive emails we receive from Contractors who take the time to thank us for the special attention and flexibility that we always give to each as an individual.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and also supporting a range of charities, in particular Breast Cancer Awareness. My most enjoyable way of spending the weekend, however, is with friends and whenever possible, I like to find time for weekends away and being sociable.
Having joined Eaglecliff Recruitment as a Trainee in 2014, I have progressed quickly and am now confident in all aspects of Recruitment with a focus within IT.
I attract high calibre candidates by using a range of different sourcing mechanisms and inform them about appropriate job vacancies and contract roles. These jobs also have to suit their personal profiles as well as their technical skills and business acumen. Resourcing has been my main task so far. However, I also support colleagues in various areas including marketing and advertising for IT and non-IT job roles and over recent months I have moved more into account management, where I am involved in every aspect of the Recruitment Lifecycle from inception of new requirements through to successful placement and post-placement care. I enjoy this due to the fact that I am eager to learn as much as I can and this allows me to experience a variety of tasks and to meet with a wide range of different people.
Having worked in a customer-facing role within Retail for two years before joining Eaglecliff, I have developed good communication skills and a desire to provide Customer satisfaction. I have learnt to do my job accurately and efficiently – in a polite and friendly manner – making sure I always do my part as part of the Resourcing Team.
I like to categorise myself as a sociable person who has a passion for fitness, living a healthy lifestyle and has recently started playing golf. I enjoy following sports – especially the team that I support most avidly which is Crystal Palace Football Club. I have travelled a fair amount and really appreciate finding out about the different cultures of the world, and hopefully I will get the chance to travel much more in the future.
I would describe myself as being a very responsible person who thrives in fast-paced environments and who enjoys working as part of a team to achieve success. Having recently graduated from the University of Chichester with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Creative Writing, I am looking to build my career at Eaglecliff Recruitment where I work centrally within the Recruitment team.
This involves helping the Recruitment Consultants with logging on of Candidates, advertising a wide range of Job roles, helping to organise lunches and evening events and keeping the company web-site up-to-date. We also meet with a wide range of our Contractors who I am looking forward to meeting in the near future in hope that I can develop my own career path with a view to becoming a Recruitment Consultant myself one day.
When I am not working, I like to keep fit and especially enjoy playing Lacrosse. Reading is another passion and I particularly like to read Fantasy novels and I like to socialise with friends.
As Co Founder and Finance Director at Eaglecliff, I enjoy an active role in the day to day running of the company with the focus on Accounting, Banking, Insurance, IT and Legal Compliance. My key task is to maintain strong Financial security and to ensure that everything is legal and compliant.
Having a Technical IT background provides a critical advantage in developing many of our own IT systems which we are continually enhancing in house to keep up with the ever-changing requirements of customers and government Legislation. The Service Levels that we provide would not be feasible without this flexibility and we rely heavily on our in-house developed Recruitment System, Accounts System, Contracts System and Customer Relationship Management System, all of which are continuously enhanced and updated.
Alongside the applications that we depend on, I am also involved with developing our own Internal Communications and the various Infrastructure platforms that we host, with remote links and e-commerce capabilities that enable us to work quickly and effectively with the global companies that we work with. Providing an adaptable way of working helps to ensure that our Recruitment Consultants are able to enjoy a flexible way of working wherever they are.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, long country walks and mountain climbing along with a passion for cooking and bike rides. More recently, hobbies have included Yoga now that my wife has become a trained Yoga instructor and I also enjoy visiting remote places such as Peru on family holidays that usually involve a high degree of outdoor activity.
With more than 19 years’ experience in Executive resourcing on a global level, I provide strategic direction and innovative solutions that are aligned to business goals whilst working alongside our clients to develop practical solutions that deliver real impact.
Having also worked for 5 years as a Strategic Partner within a Management Consultancy that specialises in delivering business data and technology solutions, primarily within the financial sector, I have recently joined Eaglecliff Recruitment to drive our initiative to expand into new markets, as well as to expand our footprint within our existing client portfolio.
With a strong background within IT and Financial Markets, my focus lies within Infrastructure Project Management and Consultancy and within Retail IT and E-Commerce. Much of my background within Recruitment has also revolved around Regulated environments within the Food Industry, Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Supply Chain and Distribution, so these are also areas of expertise that I am continuing to develop.
We will be spending considerable time researching, developing and planning our strategy to further develop our operations within the main sectors that we specialise in offering a fresh, innovative and exciting approach to Recruitment and Resourcing services.
When I am not working, I enjoy kite flying, spending time with the children, reading biographies, current affairs, socialising, good food and good wine.
